A New Season, A New Level

Over 4 years since I left that counterfeit marriage, I've found myself so far advanced in personal growth that by January of 2024, I'd entered a new level. It was now the time and season to prepare for a healthy, Godly marriage. Within the first 6 months of 2024, I've been studying how to prepare for my next but also maintaining the lessons learned from my past. This is something God will do whenever we advance to new levels. We must be willing to put into practice lessons from our past while also accumulating new lessons for new levels.

Currently, at this new level, I am writing a new book. The most practical lesson I've learned, even in that, is having consistency. Consistency is key to seeing the outcome and success of a thing. There are days like this entire week when life happens. However, understanding that our lives don't evolve around our problems is essential. There may be times when God leads us in different directions away from our assignments. However, it doesn't mean the world stops just because of our problems. Therefore, neither should our assignments.

In this season, I am also learning the value of staying focused. One way to ensure focus and consistency is to make a list of priorities and then make a schedule of tasks surrounding those priorities. For example, every day at a specific time, I am scheduled to renew my mind. I might listen to a book audio, take notes on a sermon, or read directly from the word of God. It hasn't always been easy, but there is also a level of determination we must have. Becoming distracted by the demands of others has been a factor but, I'm learning to guard against those distractions. It's as simple as putting our phones on "Do not Disturb" or fasting from social media during the daytime.

Getting back into the swing of sharing my gifts and talents within IMAGE OF GOD Ministries, I must remain committed to my goal of encouraging others like you who may have needed to read this blog. Though ministry can be challenging it is rewarding in that regard.

If you have been following my story about the "Counterfeit Spouse", you would know that it's now been months since I divorced. If I allowed the divorce process to hinder me from writing, I would have never finished my first book, "The Counterfeit Spouse". Since the divorce, I've reminisced on all the challenges and lessons I've had to learn. I must say, there were many. I've come so far, but the greatest lesson has been learning to walk with God no matter what happens in my life. The same goes for remaining consistent in other areas of our lives.

Though I have learned various other lessons such as the importance of prioritizing changing my toxic belief systems, choosing a Godly spouse, and debunking religion, none of these lessons would have been possible without my spiritual walk with God. Through my testimony, if I could help others in knowing the value of a relationship with God, it would be my greatest pursuit.

Maybe you have struggled with growth in your relationship with God or progressing to the next level because of a lack of maintaining past lessons. Maybe you have allowed distractions to hinder your growth even in your current season. Maybe you have not been growing in certain areas due to a lack of consistency, determination, preparation, or execution. Without these, we can never truly grow or reach the next level. The advancement/acceleration for the next level depends on it.

If you have found yourself off track, may this be a sign and instruction on how to move forward. As they say, nothing comes easy without hard work. However, we have the grace of God that will carry us through. Just pray to God for help, and he will help you, but always remember faith without works is dead. We must do our part. In the end, God multiplies our strength when we put forth the effort. When we do this, we will eventually look back and discover our advancement in the next season and a new level.
